The first couple of Black Ops games were very special. The campaigns, the Zombies, the Multiplayer; everything about the first two BLOPS games just clicked. In an interesting turn of events, both Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2 have been rated again, this time in Korea.
We’re fresh off the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 reveal and release date.
So, it’s fair to say that not many of you might have been ready for two classic CoD games to suddenly be rated. However, the Korean Game Content Rating Board has revealed that Black Ops 1 and 2 have been certified in 2026!
Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2 Rated in South Korea

On May 29, it was discovered that Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 had both been given a Game Rating Classification Decision by the GRAC.
There doesn’t appear to be anything different compared to the original games and ratings.
They are both deemed ‘Not for Teenagers’ and outline the same plots from both games, and instances of swear words, drug mentions, and more.
Nothing else is revealed, but this does suggest that Activision could be making some moves with older CoD games. We’ve had Modern Warfare remasters in the past, and there’s a chance we could get even more remasters, or the legendary titles could be getting a Nintendo Switch 2 port.
Call of Duty’s Nintendo march is heating up after we learned that Modern Warfare 4 will launch on Nintendo Switch 2.
What do you think the ratings mean? Are we getting more remasters? Or will they be simple campaign ports for the Nintendo Switch 2? Let us know what you think and what’s coming through the Insider Gaming Discord.
