Dinoblade was recently released on Steam. It was developed by Team Spino, which Jean Nguyen founded. Nguyen is also a senior gameplay animator at Sucker Punch, known for developing the Ghost of Tsushima series.
In the first 24 hours, the game sold more than 36,000 copies. In a post on Twitter, Nguyen described the emotional roller coaster of watching the game he created achieve such great success.

According to SteamDB, over 1,000 people are currently playing the game. Its peak concurrent player count was 2,204 on the day it launched. The game is also sitting at number 8 in wishlist activity. Prior to its release, the team shared a message on Steam saying they were humbled and honored to announce that the game had crossed the 500,000 wishlist mark.
It’s described as an action RPG set in a prehistoric world. Players take control of a Spinosaurus, and they get to do damage with swords. The premise is something that, on social media and in reviews, players are touting as very cool.
Now that the game is out, there is a 10% off discount for the first 7 days that it’s available. The introductory offer ends on July 30, and the game is currently $17.99 on Steam.
