You Can Now Revive Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Champions

A new season of Pokémon Champions is here with Regulation M-C and over 20 new mons to try in VGC.

There’s a lot of excitement around the new Z Mega Evolutions, terrain setters, and new items like Rocky Helmet.

But one addition that has perhaps gone under the radar is the inclusion of Pawmot – finally after appearing on the battle menu since the game’s release.

Pawmot’s signature move, Revival Blessing, could shake up the meta as it can revive a Pokémon with its Mega Evolved form intact.

Move Updates in Pokémon Champions Regulation M-C

Considering Pawmot was in Gen 9 on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, this is the first time the move has interacted with Megas.

Previously, revive items in Generation 6 and beyond would revive a Mega-evolved mon into its original form, and it couldn’t Mega again.

Similarly, Revival Blessing would not have a Pokémon maintain its Terastalized type.

Forcing an opponent to defeat a Mega twice, even though it’ll only be revived with half of its HP, is definitely a solid strategy.

And Pawmot has been further buffed by the fact that Double Shock now also counts as a punching move and will get a 20% damage boost from its Iron Fist ability.

Other move and ability changes added in the most recent patch include:

  • Meteor Assault: power 150 → 170
  • First Impression: power 90 → 100
  • Snipe Shot: power 80 → 85
  • Slash: power 70 → 80
  • Milk Drink can now target both itself and an ally
  • Wish: PP 12 → 8
  • Strength Sap: PP 12 → 8
  • Politoed can’t learn Pound
  • Archaludon loses Mirror Coat and Metal Burst
