Forza Horizon 6 has attracted millions of players worldwide, but few names have caused as much of a stir as BowieKnife99, who has been dubbed the game’s ‘online villain’.
Playground Games‘ creation is filled with Drivatars, many of which are based on real-world players and their tactics, but additional drivers are also coded in Forza Horizon 6, and BowieKnife99 is the most infamous of them all.
If you’ve seen the discourse surrounding BowieKnife99 in Forza Horizon 6 and are wondering what’s going on, Insider Gaming has the details you need.
Who is BowieKnife99 in Forza Horizon 6?

BowieKnife99 is an AI Drivatar in Forza Horizon 6 that has been wreaking havoc in the community with aggressive driving and thwarting opponents in races with regular wins.
The Drivatar has gone viral on social media, with even XBOX’s official X account taking jibes at the AI driver, and plenty of hilarious clips have been doing the rounds as players vent their frustration against it.
BowieKnife99 has two main causes of annoyance, with either aggressive driving that causes collisions, forces drivers off the road, and causing other mayhem, coupled with incredible skin that can make them hard to beat if you don’t have the right car, or make a mistake in an event.
While many Drivatar’s in Forza Horizon 6 are formed based on real players and how they drive in the game, BowieKnife99 seems to be a Playground Games creation, coded into the game to fill out the opponents on the grid when there are not enough ‘real’ players to add in.
How to Get Rid of BowieKnife99 in Forza Horizon 6
If you’re sick to death of the sight of BowieKnife99, you can reduce the number of times they appear in your races by growing your Forza Horizon 6 friend list.
Forza Horizon 6 prioritizes the Drivatars of players on your friend list when creating the grid for events, so having more friends reduces the need for the game to step in and add a fully AI driver to the mix.
This method is not foolproof, however, and you may still see BowieKnife99 appear in some events, but the more friends you have in Forza Horizon 6, the lower the odds of the menace making another appearance.
Failing that, you can always try to beat BowieKnife99 at its own game and drive it off the road aggressively, though be warned, as it will hit back hard.
