In a post on X, the start of Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 was advertised to kick off at 6 AM ET/11 AM BST, suggesting that is when the servers could return.

Those timings align with the usual period when Fortnite’s servers are back online post-update, but it’s not a concrete schedule, as there could be delays or issues that arise that need to be resolved.

As ever, the best place to keep track of when the Fortnite servers are back online is social media, and make sure to update your game before the servers are back so you can jump in immediately.

What’s in The Fortnite August 20 Update?

Fortnite’s latest update is headlined by the transition into a new season, Chapter 7 Season 4, titled Override and featuring a plethora of collabs from across the world of gaming.

Sonic the Hedgehog is one of the headliners, with a skin included in the Battle Pass, while the likes of Tetris, Pac-Man, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Persona, and more are set to feature.

The seasonal transition will come alongside the standard updates to the loot pool, revamps to the map, and a new slew of bosses and NPCs to encounter, alongside the debut of new Sprites.

The new season will also introduce the new Sprite Garden feature in Fortnite, where players can show off their collection across all seasons.
