Double XP weekends are some of the most anticipated events in Call of Duty, where players get to quickly rank up, unlock weapons, and make progress a bit faster on their battle pass, and it’s the same for Black Ops 7.
These double XP periods offer a limited-time multiplier on all game modes, making them essential for anyone wanting to maximize their time spent progressing Multiplayer, Zombies, or even the new Endgame mode after the Campaign is over.
If you’re eager to climb Prestige ranks or simply progress faster, keeping track of these double XP weekends is crucial. Here’s when the next double XP event happens in Black Ops 7.
When is the next double XP weekend in Black Ops 7
The next and the first double XP event in Black Ops 7 will run a little longer than the usual weekend period (Friday to Monday), kicking off on Nov. 25, 2025, and ending on Dec. 1, 2025.

At the time of writing, the event is still eight days away. This extended event spans the core of the Thanksgiving holiday period, giving you almost a full week to earn double progression in all available modes. The schedule has been leaked by realityuk on X (formerly Twitter).
After this Thanksgiving event, you can expect more traditional double XP weekends aligned with upcoming holidays and seasonal updates. You may as well bookmark this page to stay updated on all the ongoing and upcoming double XP weekends in BO7.
All game modes included in BO7 Double XP event
All primary modes in Black Ops 7, including Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and even the Co-Op Campaign, benefit from the double XP event. Most of the times, Warzone is included as well. Players can focus on their favorite activities, whether that’s slaying zombies, dominating the leaderboard, or unlocking exclusive rewards across different challenges.
Since there will be a few more days until Season 1 releases, battle pass progression is omitted from this event, as it’s yet to arrive in BO7.

Best BO7 game modes to farm XP during Double XP weekends
The best game modes to maximise on Double XP weekends are:
- Kill Confirmed: This mode is one of the best because you earn XP for kills and get additional score for confirming dog tags, which can add up quickly with the right perks and UAV support.
- Domination: Holding and contesting multiple objective points forces consistent combat engagement, spawning enemies near you for rapid kills and numerous defensive or offensive objective completions, all contributing large XP bonuses.
- Hardpoint: This mode revolves around controlling a moving objective, rewarding continuous kills, captures, and defenses with high XP output.
- Zombies Survival Maps: Using items like the Rampage Inducer to spawn more enemies and kiting them in smaller maps leads to rapid XP farming through efficient enemy kills.
So, what I would suggest is focus on high-XP activities such as completing challenges, camo tasks, and objective-based modes to maximize on double XP events. Also, play with friends and join large lobbies to take advantage of party XP bonuses.
Remember, double XP tokens don’t work during these events. When the global double XP event is active, Activision automatically disables the use of XP tokens, and any remaining token time is paused until the event ends.
You can boost your progress during double XP events by utilizing the meta weapons in Black Ops 7, and making sure you have these settings sorted before jumping into Multiplayer:
