When Does WARDOGS Come Out? Early Access & 1.0 Launch, Explained

Once WARDOGS’ testing is done, then it’s time for early access to begin a long period of more official playtesting and working out the kinks ahead of the shooter’s 1.0 version.

You know when a game just hits different. That’s the vibe WARDOGS gives, with its flexibility to go solo or be a cohesive team, earn money for better upgrades, and throw 100 players into one fixed playground to cause havoc.

Early access is going to be fun, but we’ve got one eye on 1.0.

WARDOGS Early Access Release Date

September 10 is the official early access launch day for WARDOGS.

Unlike the WARDOGS Closed Beta Playtest, this is your chance to buy the game right now and have full access to the early access launch content. If you’ve never done this type of early access before, this basically isn’t the full game.

This could be 40, 50, 60, 70, or 80% of the content planned for the whole game. BULKHEAD will be continually updating the game over the coming months, adding new content, fixing bugs, and much more.

Consider it a highly polished and functional work in progress!

When is WARDOGS Full Game 1.0 Coming Out?

The last update from the WARDOGS devs explained that the FPS will be in early access for between 12 and 24 months, which means we likely won’t get the 1.0 launch until late 2027 or 2028.

Hey, Escape From Tarkov was in early access for YEARS before it was time for 1.0!

But in an interview with WARDOGS’ devs from a March 3, 2026, YouTube video, we got the answer to the question:

“In terms of early access, how long we’re staying there, we’re going to stay there between 12 months and 24 months. It really depends on how you guys feelabout the game. We don’t want to rush something out that isn’t ready, but we do want to get it in your hands at this point.”
