Grounded 2 has enjoyed a fruitful beginning on XBOX and PC, but now it’s time for PS5 owners to stop bugging Obsidian for details on when the survival title is finally coming to PlayStation.
July 29, 2025, is when Grounded 2 first launched in early access. XBOX and PC owners got first dibs on the franchise’s newest miniature world, but we always knew a PS5 edition was happening.
We’re running through its PS5 release date details and how much you can expect to pay for Grounded 2.
Grounded 2 PS5 Release Date & Times
Grounded 2 will finally release on PlayStation 5 on August 11 at 11 AM PT, according to the PlayStation Store, and it will also be the early access version.
Firstly, this is early access, and not the full 1.0 launch. Obsidian has already confirmed with the game’s roadmap that the complete release is quite a while away yet.
Secondly, the PlayStation Store has updated to show Grounded 2’s release time around the world.
For me, it currently shows August 11 at 7 PM BST. Using time conversion, this translates to 11 AM PT.

How Much Will Grounded 2 Cost on PS5?
It hasn’t been confirmed how much Grounded 2 will cost on PS5, but judging by the XBOX and PC editions, you should expect the early access price tag to be around $29.99 on PS5.
The Standard Edition should set you back £24.99 / $29.99, entitling you to all basic Grounded 2 early access content.
So far, it’s unconfirmed if the Founder’s Edition Bundle will be available on PlayStation. If it is, it should cost $49.99 / £34.99, and features much more content:
- ‘Four premium skins with custom emotes: the Minotaur, Myrmidon, Rogue, and Mant
- ONYX-PRO, Inside the Game: Grounded 2 Artbook and Soundtrack
- More items will be added and secrets to uncover throughout development’
