As with every year, the Summer Game Fest 2026 Showcase will be considered the curtain raiser for the multiple days of presentations lined up by major developers and publishers.

It almost seems redundant to mention E3 anymore, given how long it’s been gone for, but SGF is the new standard for a proper Summertime gaming festival!

The full spectacle will be broadcast live from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.

This is a slight twist from the 2025 event, where the showcase was presented in the YouTube Theater—also in LA.

You can find it at:

  • 6801 Hollywood Boulevard
  • Hollywood, California
  • 90028

We’re not sure why the venue has changed, but you should know that Insider Gaming will be live in attendance for the showcase, and we will be providing you with live coverage of the event through the main website!

How Long is Summer Game Fest 2026 Showcase?

Just like the 2025 edition and recent shows before it, we expect the Summer Game Fest 2026 Showcase to be around two hours from start to finish.

This timeframe doesn’t include Day of the Devs or any other follow-up shows or pre-show material.

If you want to know how much time you need to keep spare for the main presentation, it should be around two hours. Unlike The Game Awards, there will be no speeches or additional time reserved for awards.

What to Expect at Summer Game Fest 2026 Showcase

The rumors and leaks haven’t started yet, but SGF 2026 will deliver the goods as it always does: Game announcements, trailers, gameplay videos, and surprises sprinkled in to break the internet.

In fairness, the 2025 edition was a fairly low-key affair. We did have some mammoth announcements, including Resident Evil Requiem, Atomic Heart 2, and Mortal Shell 2. Obviously, it all depends on personal taste, but you could argue that everything else was largely a medium-level announcement—no, there was (and won’t be) a Bloodborne Remake.

2026 is already shaping up to be one of the biggest years in gaming for a while, with a stacked second half of the year to come. As long as studios aren’t too scared of GTA 6, we could still have some fun shocks to come at SGF 2026.

Whatever happens, Summer Game Fest is always a fun event. It’s also not the only showcase happening in 2026. Make sure you know how to watch the Insider Gaming Showcase—our debut in this style of content.
