Valve has announced that the Steam Deck prices will be rising by as much as $300, effective immediately.

The changes are now already live on the Steam store, which shows the new prices.

1TB OLED has been increased from $649 to $949 (+$300)

512GB OLED has been increased from $549 to $789 (+$240).

In a blog post, Valve said prices are going up due to “rising memory and storage costs” and that the new prices “reflect the current state of component costs and other global logistical challenges across the industry as a whole.”

The company’s Steam Machine still doesn’t have a price attached despite the device being close to release, but if the recent price hikes for the Steam Deck are anything to go by, we’re looking at a hefty price.
