A brand-new free demo for Star Fox was announced during the latest Nintendo Direct event and will be available later today.
Last month, players were finally informed about a new game for Nintendo’s latest console, announced shortly after the release of the Super Mario Galaxy movie, which generated even more hype. Star Fox has already received a release date, and it arrives later this month. Players now have a new trailer to check out as they wait.
Star Fox Free Demo Features Revealed
Star Fox Free Demo can be accessed later today through the Nintendo eShop. The demo will feature a tutorial and one of the title’s opening stages. The event also featured another trailer, which consisted of quick cuts of Fox McCloud and crew taking on various enemies across different environments. Check it out below.
The reveal trailer provided players with extensive vehicle gameplay. We were also made aware of all the characters, which include Fox McCloud, Falco Lombardi, Slippy Toad, and Peppy Hare. Players were then shown Arwing gameplay, featuring a high-performance aerospace fighter. Players were shown how to use weapons and various maneuvers, such as braking, somersaults, barrel rolls, and more.
Players were introduced to the Landmaster, an agile ground-assault vehicle, and the Blue Marine, a modified exploratory submersible. They were also briefed on various regions and environments, including Corneria, Fichina, Solar, Zoness, and Sector Y, all of which were highlighted. Additionally, players will have the option to share one of their Joy-Con 2 devices, allowing them to split piloting and gunning responsibilities.
