Sony unveils PlayStation Pulse and Pulse Edge headsets for PS5 and PC

Sony is flaunting its next generation of PS5 audio hardware that promise to separate simultaneous sounds in your ear: the PlayStation Pulse Wireless Headset and the PlayStation Pulse Edge Wireless Headset.

The pair replaced the Pulse Elite as Sony's new flagship wireless audio lineup. Both models use custom studio-inspired planar magnetic drivers, which are a bit of a step-up from the standard dynamic drivers found in most gaming headsets. They’ll make it easier to hear positional cues like footsteps and reload sounds in competitive shooters.
