Solo Leveling is Getting a 4-Player Co-Op Game

Beloved anime series Solo Leveling is getting a brand-new game on PC and Xbox, bringing chaotic four-player action based on the adventures of Sung Jin-woo. The popular series has seen multiple different adaptations since its origins as a South Korean web novel, including the anime series, a spinoff, and even a live-action Korean drama. Solo Leveling has already premiered two seasons in 2024 and early 2025, with the anime even receiving the coveted “Anime of the Year” title at Crunchyroll’s Anime Awards. Now, the franchise is set to receive a brand-new game in the near future.

The popular anime centered around the raging battle between Hunters and monsters has already seen a video game adaptation once before. Solo Leveling: Arise debuted in May 2024 as an action RPG, thrusting players into the role of Jin-woo and featuring other popular characters from the series as well. Arise utilizes a similar gacha system to many modern RPGs, using in-game currency to obtain more characters and weapons within the game. Solo Leveling is now set to receive a brand-new version of Arise on even more platforms.

Developer Netmarble officially unveiled Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive as a new version of the Solo Leveling gacha game during Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase. The teaser trailer touted the addition of co-op action to the game, allowing players to team up with three other players and showcasing teams fighting some of the game’s fearsome bosses. Netmarble confirmed that Solo Leveling: Arise will not only be coming to Steam later this year, but that the game will also arrive on Xbox Series X/S in 2026.

Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive is a New Co-Op Action RPG

The Solo Leveling RPG’s upcoming release on PC and Xbox consoles will make the game based on the beloved anime even easier for players to experience. The base version of Solo Leveling: Arise was restricted to only a standalone PC client and mobile versions, with no console or Steam release available for the game. The addition of co-op gameplay in the PC and Xbox versions will also look to offer even more for players to do in-game, potentially introducing unique boss fights based around players teaming up with friends.

Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive looks to carry on what has been a monumental success story for the Solo Leveling franchise. The recent conclusion of Solo Leveling‘s second season saw many fans clamoring for more from the series, with producer Sota Furahashi teasing an early 2026 release for a third season. Solo Leveling also received the previously-mentioned spinoff following the success of Season 1, with Solo Leveling: Ragnarok as a sequel focusing on Sung Jin-woo’s son. Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive should be the perfect precursor for the highly-anticipated Season 3 when it debuts later this year.
