Reverse Sweep Sets up DK vs KT for LCK’s Last LoL Worlds Spot

Dplus Kia completed an impressive 3-2 reverse sweep against BNK FEARX in the LCK Playoffs to keep their League of Legends Worlds hopes alive.

BFX gained a 2-0 lead after Song ‘Clear’ Hyeon-min picked Kai’Sa top for the first time ever in Tier 1 pro play.

However, DK recovered well while BFX fell apart for the second reverse sweep in two days following Hanwha Life Esports’ win over T1.

Now, BFX have been eliminated from LoL Worlds qualification and are guaranteed a place at the new Demacia Cup Global Invitational instead.

LCK Season Playoffs Bracket

Just one place at LoL Worlds 2026 remains for LCK teams with the other three already locked in.

After winning MSI, HLE were practically confirmed for Worlds and secured their spot soon after.

Then, earlier this week, Gen.G and T1 both locked in their Worlds qualification after reaching the top four of the Playoffs.

It means that T1 and Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok will be able to defend their title, having won the last three World Championships.

Today’s result means that DK and KT Rolster will face off as the decider for the fourth and final spot.

And the stakes are high considering Polymarket gives an LCK team a 60% chance of winning Worlds this year.

DK won the Esports World Cup earlier this year, defeating multiple high-profile teams despite the players reportedly being owed wages.

Meanwhile, KT have struggled to break through in the LCK this year after reaching the Worlds final last year.

The winner of DK and KT will then have to face T1, with the winner of Gen.G and HLE waiting in the final.
