Month by month, we get further away from Resident Evil Requiem’s launch, and the wait for a story DLC expansion feels eternal. Capcom won’t rush this because the company knows people will come back to Requiem when the time is right, but the content’s release window looks far away right now.
I’ve previously covered whether Resident Evil Requiem will have post-launch DLC, and there have been various updates since.
RE9 was plenty chunky, and even included a chunky enemy or two, but we want more. The free Requiem DLC shadow drop was cool, but we need something more substantial.
Resident Evil Requiem DLC Could Hinge on Code: Veronica Remake

Summer Game Fest delivered a ton of great news, including a Resident Evil Code Veronica Remake release window being revealed.
The minor caveat with this is that, because so much stock is being put into the remake, it might stifle or delay potential Resident Evil Requiem DLC.
Dusk Golem weighed on the DLC, and when we can expect to see it:
‘Word in the grapevine is RE9 DLC is releasing after Resident Evil Veronica. To see how it plays out, but it’s been murmured to be further out.’
It was previously claimed that 2026 was the release window, but this has been pushed back due to RE9 being delayed.
Now, it looks like the Code Veronica Remake will push it back further. It could be well over a year after the game’s initial launch until we see story DLC.
While we wait for further updates on Resident Evil Requiem’s story DLC, make sure you check out the Resident Evil: Veronica announcement trailer.
