Capcom says Resident Evil Requiem has surpassed 5 million units sold worldwide less than a week after launch, making it one of the company’s fastest early sellers in the modern Resident Evil era.
Requiem launched on Feb. 27, and Capcom’s sales update states that on March 4, it already sold 5 million copies. And it’s not even the mysterious “units shipped” that companies like to use when they want to seem their game more successful than it actually is: Capcom is pretty explicit that this is sold copies and not just retail loading.
