How Does Stage 1 Set Up for the Esports World Cup?
This is a super simple concept. At the end of Stage 1, every region will undergo a finals round, pushing through a double-elimination bracket to make it to the grand final. Either the winner or the finalists for each region will qualify for the Esports World Cup, slated to land in Paris from July onwards.
Here’s how it works for each region:
APL Oceania
The two participating teams at the APL Oceania Grand Final will qualify for EWC 2026 in Paris.
APL Asia
The winner of the APL Asia Stage 1 Grand Final will qualify for EWC 2026 in Paris.
APL North
The winner of the APL North Stage 1 Grand Final will qualify for EWC 2026 in Paris.
NAL
The top 4 teams in the Stage Finals will qualify for EWC in Paris.
SAL
The top 4 teams in the Stage Finals will qualify for EWC in Paris.
EML
The top 4 teams in the Stage Finals will qualify for EWC in Paris. Team Secret is directly invited to EWC thanks to their win last year.
CNL
The top 4 teams in the Stage Finals will qualify for EWC in Paris.
