The world of Pokémon Pokopia has expanded significantly with the first part of the Expansion Pass and Ocean Doors are a resource you need to progress the main story in the Bubbly Basin area.
Bubbly Basin’s underwater world in Pokopia has plenty to uncover, including new materials, a host of new crafting items, and a range of new Pokémon to befriend. Along the way, Ocean Doors are required to complete a specific request.
If you’re looking for the details on how to get Ocean Doors in Pokopia, Insider Gaming has everything you need to know.
How to Get Ocean Doors in Pokopia

Ocean Doors cannot be found in the overworld in Pokémon Pokopia and instead must be crafted, though the recipe will be hidden for you to find.
It appears there’s not a specific location for the Ocean Doors crafting recipe, as the spot I found the recipe was separate to others I have seen, but all fall within the same area.
Above the entrance to the cave where the Pokémon Center is located in Bubbly Basin, the spot where Popplio’s request to construct a large building is located, there’s a range of blocks to destroy to make room for the construction.
The crafting recipe for the Ocean Doors should be hidden in a glowing spot inside a block, though it can also appear as a whirlpool drop, and both take place in this general area.
How to Make Ocean Doors in Pokopia
Once you have the recipe for Ocean Doors in Pokémon Pokopia, the good news is it won’t take much effort at all to craft.
Crafting an Ocean Door in Pokopia requires just one Star-Spotted Rock, which is found in abundance in the Bubbly Basin area of the game.
If you’ve already cleared out the spot for Popplio’s special construction request, you should already have more than enough of the resource to craft the two Ocean Doors you need.
From there, you’re free to use Ocean Doors in whatever building projects you have planned to spark Bubbly Basin back into life.
