New Pokémon TCG Pocket Set Focuses On Team Rocket

The next Pokémon TCG Pocket set has been revealed, with the dastardly Team Rocket taking center stage and starring in the latest drop.

Pokémon TCG Pocket‘s regular updates include a new set every month, and it’s now been confirmed that the iconic villanous group will land, ushering in a new era in the title.

Team Rocket’s Ambition Pokémon TCG Set Revealed

Having teased the latest set earlier this week, an official reveal was posted on X showcasing Team Rocket’s Ambition as the next TCG Pocket set, marking another wave of Pokémon in the game.

The set will include various Team Rocket’s Pokémon, marking the first time that Owner’s Pokémon have featured in TCG Pocket, having made their return to the physical TCG in last year’s Journey Together.

A teaser video revealed Team Rocket-owned versions of Houndoor, Persian, Mewtwo, Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos, alongside full-art card for Tinkatink and Giovanni himself.

Team Rocket’s Ambition releases August 27, which will be followed by a mysterious ‘Shady Tickets’ feature, while the launch will also see other events in the coming weeks, including a Lapras Drop Event.

Rocket’s Ambition is Pokémon TCG Pocket’s B4a set and is likely to be the first of two mini sets following last month’s Ruler of the Skies expansion, which debuted Mega Rayquaza.

The second mini set will likely bring an end to the ‘B’ era of TCG Pocket, potentially with another special expansion like the Deluxe Pack: ex introduced last year, which guaranteed an ex card in every pack.
