New Kingdom Come Game Could Launch As Soon As 2027

Earlier today, Warhorse Studios unveiled two ambitious projects underway: a new Kingdom Come game and a Lord of the Rings RPG. Fans of the Czech firm are already riddled with excitement, as Warhorse’s stock in the open-world RPG space is extremely rich, especially since the whirlwind success of 2025’s Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Embracer Group, the parent company of Warhorse Studios, revealed in a financial update that the new Kingdom Come title is in full development and could be released as soon as mid-2027.

Not a Deliverance

It seems as though the next Kingdom Come game will not be a ‘Deliverance’ title, which could change the playing field dramatically. It might even emerge as a game within a different vertical, moving away from the epic RPG games that fans of the almost ten-year-old franchise are used to.

Warhorse is arguably the king of grand RPG titles at this point, but the turnaround time on the next Kingdom Come looks swift. It has only been a few months since the last DLC was released for KCD2, and the team is already in full production on the next Kingdom Come game.

In a recent financial update, Embracer Group spoke about the recent announcement, stating that they intend to get the next Kingdom Come adventure in players’ hands by the next fiscal year.

For those unsure of what that means, that’s between April 2027 and March 2028. That could mean that we have a new Kingdom Come game by next summer, but as always, it’s solid advice to temper expectations accordingly.

There are more than 250 developers at Warhorse, but we still live in a world where delivery pipelines ebb and flow.

It’s now up to the fans to imagine what comes next in Kingdom Come’s universe. Embracer Group and Warhorse have promised more information will arrive soon, but for now, it’s a guessing game.
