After practically six years of waiting, it’s finally time to revisit the dark world of Mortal Shell, with the standalone sequel, Mortal Shell 2, on the horizon. The action RPG is returning bigger and better than ever, with over 80 dungeons to explore across its compact open world.
If you’re a fan of brutal, soulslike combat and bosses that are bound to have you pulling your hair out, then you simply need to have Mortal Shell 2 on your radar. With that in mind, here’s exactly when the sequel is set to go live, including the game’s release date and launch times.
Mortal Shell 2 Release Date
Mortal Shell 2 is set to release on August 20, 2026.
For the longest time, Mortal Shell 2 had been locked in as a 2026 release, but no word was shared regarding an official date. Well, the big news finally dropped back in July, just over a month before the game is playable, and we’re closer than ever to the game’s launch.
If you’re aware of the release calendar in the gaming world, you’ll know that September is looking incredibly packed, with titans like Wolverine, Control: Resonant and The Blood of Dawnwalker just three titles set to devour the month. Thankfully, Mortal Shell 2’s late August window should give you enough time to dedicate solely to the highly anticipated sequel.
Mortal Shell 2 Launch Times
Official launch times for Mortal Shell 2 haven’t yet been revealed, but judging by SteamDB, the game is set to go live at 6 AM PT.
It’s an early start for those of you on the West Coast, but at least you’ll have the whole day to sink your teeth into the sequel. That said, there are bound to be fans from across the world looking to get in on the action the moment Mortal Shell 2 goes live, but you’ll experience different timings.
