With the number of games set to come out towards the end of the year, tons of you out there will undoubtedly be picking and choosing your purchases wisely. That said, deciding which games to buy can be a tough call to make, especially when there are so many excellent titles yet to release in 2026.
Thankfully, there’s sometimes the option to try a beta or demo, and that’s exactly the case for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. A beta is on the horizon, with a new Warzone map, Multiplayer, and a Campaign mission on offer; it should give you a pretty good glimpse into what the full game should be like.
If you’ve managed to secure a code and want to be ready the moment the beta goes live, you’ll be happy to hear that you can preload it onto your system of choice. With that in mind, here’s when you can preload the Modern Warfare 4 beta.
Modern Warfare 4 Beta Preload Release Date
You’ll be able to preload the Modern Warfare 4 beta on Thursday, August 20.
Of course, that’s only if you managed to secure early access to the beta, with two weekends on offer. The first weekend begins on Friday, August 21, but the second weekend begins on Friday, August 28.
With that in mind, if you missed out on the early access beta, you’ll instead be able to preload the Modern Warfare 4 beta on Thursday, August 27—a week later, but still a day before it goes live.
Modern Warfare 4 Beta Preload Start Times
The preload for the Modern Warfare 4 beta goes live at exactly 9 AM PT on Thursday, August 20.
It’s an early start for those of you on the West Coast, meaning you’ll have all day to download the beta before it goes live, but for everyone elsewhere, that release date begins to shift further and further into the day.
With that in mind, here are the launch times for the Modern Warfare 4 beta preload, adjusted for various time zones:
