Minecraft Dungeons 2 received a new look during the recent XBOX Showcase in June 2026.

The forthcoming Minecraft Dungeons sequel was officially announced in March of this year. Now, it has received a new look during the recent Xbox Showcase. The game will be coming out in September 2026. The September release date was previously leaked due to an accidental early posting on the Nintendo eShop.

Now, it’s been confirmed that the game will release on September 29. It will also be playable on XBOX Game Pass day one. Many of the games showcased on June 7 have also had that perk announced.

The previous Nintendo League also noted that the forthcoming Dungeons game is priced at $29.99 USD; a host of other details have been made available, including an estimated game file size of 6.8GB and both local and online four-player multiplayer—as expected based on the original. Multiplayer was heavily featured in the trailer as part of the XBOX showcase.

In other Minecraft news, a sequel to the movie starring Jack Black was recently announced. There’s also a creator contest in conjunction with the movie that will allow talented creators in the Minecraft world to potentially see some of their Creations come to life on the big screen.
