Metro 2039 Collector’s Edition Tease Reveals Wearable Spartan Helmet

In a stunning new reveal, 4A Games has unveiled an upcoming collector’s edition for Metro 2039, the highly anticipated post-apocalyptic shooter set for release next February. The edition, which is likely to be extremely sought-after, contains a wearable Spartan Ranger helmet.

The helmet is on display at the Metro 2039 booth at Gamescom, and while stock levels haven’t been confirmed, it’s almost certainly going to be a very limited item.

Metro 2039 is Getting a Full-Fledged Collector’s Edition

In a new teaser trailer posted online, 4A Games unveiled the beating heart of Metro 2039’s Collector’s Edition: a wearable Spartan Ranger helmet. It’s an authentic replication of the Stranger’s battle-scarred helm, allowing players to LARP as the protagonist of this harrowing first-person shooter.

The description under the video reads:

As many of you will know, the Spartan helmet is an important part of METRO lore, iconography and gameplay. With its hinged visor and trademark integrated gas mask elements, the Spartan helmet is an essential survival tool for an irradiated world.

Each one has its own unique qualities, and the Stranger’s helmet is no different. Through its damage detail, scratches and personal customisations, the Stranger’s helmet tells its own story of a post-apocalyptic life marked by untold horrors, trauma, and life-or-death decisions.

This faithful recreation of the Stranger’s helmet will only be available as part of the METRO 2039 Collector’s Edition, which you’ll be able to pre-order later on this year.

For die-hard Metro fans (like myself), the collector’s edition will be a no-brainer. It was stated that pre-orders will open up later this year, allowing fans to get their foot in the door, but for now, prices are being kept under wraps.

Right now, you can head to the Deep Silver website to register your interest in the edition, and as soon as more information drops, you’ll be pinged and prompted to pre-order the collectable.
