Thankfully, Arc System Works is offering just that opportunity, with an Open Beta scheduled for July, 2026. It’ll be the perfect opportunity to get to grips with the genre and see if it’s for you, whilst leaving you ample time to gather the funds ahead of a stacked September.

The upcoming Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Open Beta will begin on July 24 PT and end on July 26 PT.
That gives you an entire weekend to grapple with the 4v4 tag-fighter and get to grips with a selection of the roster.
The Open Beta will be playable on both PC and PlayStation 5, and given its open nature, it’ll be free to access for all users, regardless of sign-ups or pre-orders.

That said, the previous Closed Beta back in December 2025 began at 12 AM PT and ran for 72 hours. There’s a high chance the same timings could be used again, and if that’s the case, the Open Beta could proceed as follows:

All Playable Content In Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Open Beta
As things stand, the full collection of playable content hasn’t been revealed for the Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Open Beta.
However, some information has been shared, giving us a glimpse of what to expect. Blade has been confirmed to have joined the roster after being revealed as part of the Samurai Outriders, and he’ll be playable during the Open Beta, as well as a host of new stages and game modes.
Other than that, Arc System Works mentioned that they’ll have more to share ‘soon,’ so expect a full roster line-up in the near future. Based on the wording of Blade’s announcement, it’s likely that he’s joining the roster of the Closed December Beta, which included:
- Ghost Rider
- Spider-Man
- Captain America
- Iron Man
- Storm
- Doctor Doom
- Ms. Marvel
- Star Lord
