Marvel Rivals Season 9 Roadmap Revealed

The full roadmap for Marvel Rivals Season 9 has been revealed, with a new character, map and game mode all on the cards.

Set to last for four weeks, Season 9 is teeing up to be the biggest update Marvel Rivals has ever seen, and it’s all thanks to the Team-Up overhaul. Partner that with the arrival of Jubilee, and it’s going to be a hectic month ahead for the hero shooter.

Season 9 is all set to kick off on July 10, and there’s a ton of content to expect on the launch day.

Jubilee is joining the ranks as a Strategist, whilst Black Widow is finally receiving a rework to make her more than just a vibes pick. Then there’s the Team-Up overhaul, which basically gives every hero in the game two new abilities to contend with. Adding to that is the new regenerative health for a host of characters, and Season 9 is starting to feel like Marvel Rivals 2.0.

Then there are the cosmetics and events. A new Season means a new Battlepass, and this one is largely Egyptian-themed, to tie into the Apocalypse plotline. Two new events mark the occasion, with both Death of Apocalypse and The Resurrection of the Horsemen bound to offer their own rewards.

A week later, on July 17, prepare for another set of costumes and a brand new event, Van Dyne Couture, which is likely to be a mini-pass of sorts. Midway through the Season, Thebes enters the map pool, with what is bound to be a visually distinct Egyptian location.

Finally, for the last week of the Season, July 31 will kick off the next stage of the Path to Doomsday event, with an Avengers: Age of Ultron-themed PvE game mode. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, a host of MCU-centric skins will hit the store, with the Spider-Man: Brand New Day set bound to be a fan favorite.

To wrap things up, Season 9.5 officially kicks off on August 7. We already know that The Hood will be the next playable character, and it’s looking increasingly likely that he’s joining as a Vanguard.
