Marvel Rivals Season 9 Release Date, Start Times & Expected Heroes

New Seasons for Marvel Rivals come thick and fast, and we’re already quickly approaching the beginning of Season 9. With two new Heroes bound to join the ever-growing roster, as well as a new development for the overarching plot, the new Marvel Rivals Season is looking to bring about the Age of Apocalypse.

Of course, Season 8 has been a memorable one, with the introduction of Devil Dinosaur and Cyclops shifting up the meta considerably. That said, it’s bound for more drastic shake-ups, as the arrival of a new season is bound to bring with it a new wave of buffs and nerfs—and that’s without mentioning the new characters.

If you’re excited for the future of Marvel Rivals, here’s when you can expect Season 9 to kick off, including exact start times and a closer look at which heroes could be added to the game.

When Does Marvel Rivals Season 9 Start?

As announced in the Season 8.5 roadmap, the current season will end on June 10, with Season 9 picking up right where it left off.

Each seasonal split seems to last around four weeks now, with an overall reduction in how long each season lasts. With how fast new content is added to the game, you’d think NetEase would need more time between additions, but their release calendar suggests otherwise!

That said, with the depths of Marvel’s mythos, it’s not like the studio should run out of content ideas for the hero shooter anytime soon. There are so many avenues to pull from, and there’s still plenty of heavy hitters still to be added to the roster—could any of them be due this Season? Keep reading to find out, but for now, here’s exactly when Season 9 begins.

Marvel Rivals Season 9 Start Times

Judging by previous Marvel Rivals seasons as a guideline, expect Season 9 to begin on July 10, 2026, at 3 AM PT.

A new season is always the most exciting time to play Marvel Rivals, as the community adjusts to the new hero and how they might shake up the meta. That said, if you want to play the new hero day one, you’ll have to be quick on the draw, as thousands of others will have the same idea; get ready to instalock them!

Marvel Rivals Season 9 New Heroes

It’s all but confirmed that the two new heroes set to arrive during Marvel Rivals Season 9 will be Jubilee and The Hood.

Thanks to the final Gallery Card of Season 8.5, we know that Apocalypse will be the villain of the month, but in the text, there are distinct hints at two very specific characters. It goes as follows:

A man wearing the cloak of Oblivion … wise-cracking enemy-turned-ally desperate to find a cure for her son’s unqiue ailment, even if it means turning her fireworks against her former friends.

The man wearing the cloak of Oblivion is, of course, referencing The Hood, whilst the firework-spouting lady must be none other than Jubilee. That said, some leaks suggest Jubilee will be her vampire variant from the comics, which might not go down too well with the overall fanbase.

As for their roles, it’s rumored that The Hood will be a Vanguard, whilst Jubilee will be a Strategist, meaning we can finally have a new season with no more Duelists! It’s unconfirmed which hero will arrive in Season 9, or along with the Season 9.5 split, but it’s safe to assume both will arrive in the next few months.

And after Season 9? Well, some leaks suggest the roster all the way until Season 11 has been uncovered, though you’ll have to take them with a pinch of salt.
