LYON ends Shopify Rebellion’s Cinderella run to secure final LCS Worlds spot

LYON has secured the LCS’ final spot at the 2026 League of Legends World Championship after beating Shopify Rebellion 3:1 on Sept. 26. The result sends LYON to Worlds alongside Cloud9 and Team Liquid, while Shopify’s unlikely lower-bracket run ends in fourth place and with a spot at the Demacia Cup Global Invitational instead. 

LYON took the first two games, including a brutal 23:3 Game Two that lasted just 26 minutes, before Shopify finally answered behind Bvoy in Game Three. Any hopes of another comeback disappeared in the fourth, where LYON finished the series with a 24:8 win as Saint’s Twisted Fate completely took over the game after a failed 2v2 on top.
