Lux and Samira Are Coming to 2XKO Before Development Ends

Riot Games has confirmed two new characters for League of Legends fighter 2XKO in Samira and Lux.

However, they will be the last characters ever added to the game as Riot is ending development of 2XKO in December 2026.

Servers for the game will remain online to keep the game playable and all champions will be unlocked.

Though development is ending, Riot has released a roadmap of some new content that will still be added to the game later this year.

2XKO 2026 Roadmap

The roadmap released by Riot has revealed that Lux will be added to 2XKO in September.

The light-slinging mage is one of LoL’s most iconic champions and will likely be a long-range character that likes to throw out spells.

September will also see all champions in the game unlocked for free and will see expanded private lobby and voice chat options.

And September will also see the release of the 2XKO Ultimate Bundle, which will feature all skins, skin chromas, and taunts (including Lux and Samira) for $39.99 / £33.99 / €39.99.

All money spent on the game before August 20 will be refunded to players.

Then, in October, Samira will be released as the last character in the game, taking 2XKO’s total roster up to 19.

Samira will likely have a graded combo system reminiscent of Devil May Cry, just like her LoL kit which sees her need to chain different abilities to reach S rank before she can use her ult.

October will also see the EVO France and Battle Coliseum esports events.

And then finally in December, Rioters will release a slew of bug fixes as the last-ever update to the game.
