All of the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) teams have been locked in and the draw has been determined.
This year, LoL MSI has a brutal format where only one team will escape the Play-Ins and three huge teams will be eliminated.
Thanks to Bilibili Gaming winning First Stand, LPL’s second seed Top Esports will get to skip directly into the Main Event.
Meanwhile, the LCK’s T1, LEC’s Karmine Corp, LCS’s Team Liquid, and LCP’s Revolve Deep Cross Gaming will all have to compete in the Play-Ins.
And Riot Games has now revealed this year’s opening MSI draw.
LoL MSI Play-In Bracket
The opening matches of LoL MSI 2026 will see KCorp take on Taiwanese team Deep Cross Gaming while LCS runners-up Team Liquid will have to deal with reigning world champions T1.
This was not a random draw but instead a pre-determined bracket with seeding decided by the LoL First Stand 2026 results.
Because of G2’s First Stand heroics defeating two LCK teams, KCorp was given the theoretically easier match-up.
The Play-Ins will be played entirely in best-of-fives and will feature a double elimination bracket.
However, only one of these four accomplished teams will progress to the Main Event, while the other three are sent home early.
All LoL MSI 2026 Teams
Despite having won the last two iterations of MSI, the LCK’s Gen.G failed to qualify for the event for the first time since 2023.
Meanwhile, the CBLoL only received one slot at the tournament so Brazilian champions skipped the Play-In.
