The LEC Spring Playoffs 2026 will come to an end this weekend with G2 Esports, Movistar KOI, and Karmine Corp.
EMEA has uncovered its top three League of Legends teams, but only one can lift the Spring 2026 trophy.
G2 Esports have already secured their place in the final and, as a result, have automatically qualified for LoL MSI 2026.
They will await the winners of MKOI and KCorp, who will face off yet again in what will likely be another explosive best-of-five.
Karmine Corp vs Movistar KOI
The rivalry between French and Spanish fans means meetings between these two teams are always heated, and this one will be especially tense with MSI qualification on the line too.
So heated, in fact, that a recent match between the two led to both MKOI and KCorp receiving fines following the LEC Madrid Roadtrip.
Both teams have shown very high highs this year. However, KCorp have to be the slight favourites here.
In every multi-game series between the two teams this year, KCorp has won. Twice in Esports World Cup qualifiers, the aforementioned Spring 2-1, and a close 3-2 in the LEC Versus Playoffs.
Though MKOI have taken games in most of those series, and the team recently pushed G2 to five games in the Upper Bracket final.
MKOI midlaner Joseph Joon ‘Jojopyun’ Pyun is in the form of his career, but he will need his teammates to step up.
How MKOI’s sidelanes each deal with their lane mismatches will likely decide the series.
Can G2 Esports Defend Their LEC Title?
Earlier this year, G2 Esports won LEC Versus to claim the organisation’s 18th LEC/EU LCS title.
They will be favourites to do so, having already defeated both MKOI and KCorp on their way to the final.
Though G2 had to reverse sweep MKOI to get this far, after a disastrous start to the series.
Similarly, in the LEC Versus Final against KCorp, G2 had to rely on a ridiculous play by Rasumus ‘Caps’ Winther at Elder to win the fifth match.
G2 have shown vulnerabilities, but also an x-factor that helps them get out of any situation that other LEC teams haven’t been able to overcome.
And after G2’s First Stand heroics saw them sweep both LCK teams 3-0, hopes for this roster are at an all-time high.
