Disney has announced that a new ‘DEEP Dive into Kingdom Hearts’ event will be hosted in August 2026.
Kingdom Hearts is a franchise that marked its 25th anniversary in 2026 and has built a significant player base over the years. However, there is one question on every fan’s mind right now: ‘Where is Kingdom Hearts 4?’ considering the previous installment was released 7 years ago. Now, we have a new event; however, there is no confirmation on whether it will feature this title.
Deep Dive Into Kingdom Hearts Set for August 15
Spotted by Gematsu, Disney just announced D23: The Ultimate Fan Event, which will be held on August 14, 15, and 16 in Anaheim, California. During the event, players will get to see a Deep Dive of Kingdom Hearts, featuring “a journey through light and darkness as we commemorate 25 years” of the franchise. The event will be hosted on August 15 from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
The description adds that fans will receive insights from creative minds, character voices, and more on how Kingdom Hearts brought Disney, Pixar, and Square Enix together. However, players should note that neither Kingdom Hearts 4 nor any form of game showcase was mentioned in the description.
While it wasn’t explicitly stated, fans will still be hopeful that developers will unveil a surprise related to Kingdom Hearts 4 for the franchise’s 25th anniversary. Last month, we received a brand-new trailer confirming that the game will be available at launch on the Switch 2. Now, we just need to know when Square Enix plans to release the game.
