It seems that Kingdom Hearts 4 could release sooner than expected, as early as 2027, according to Australian store listings.
Kingdom Hearts 4 is a Square Enix game that fans have been eagerly waiting to hear more about since the first announcement. Most recently, we saw fans receive a brand new trailer during the Nintendo Direct event, where we were informed that the game would be available on the Switch 2 at launch. Now, we might have an idea about its release window.
Kingdom Hearts 4 Release Set for 2027, Suggests Store Listings
Spotted by TropicalMaku on X (formerly Twitter), several Australian retailers have mentioned a release window for Kingdom Hearts 4 in their listings. The listing is for the recently announced Kingdom Hearts Collection that features the first three parts of the game. Towards the very end of the listing, it was stated that players can experience “the full KINGDOM HEARTS series in one comprehensive package before the release of KINGDOM HEARTS IV in 2027.”
The developers have yet to officially confirm any of this. At the time of writing, no official release window has been revealed for Kingdom Hearts 4. If this is true, then Square Enix could be looking at two huge releases next year, with Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, the third installment in the release trilogy, also set for all platforms in 2027. What’s more, the 25th anniversary of the Kingdom Hearts franchise will arrive in 2027.
In other news, Fortnite’s collaboration with Kingdom Hearts is reportedly in active development and scheduled to arrive in the coming months.
