Kakao Games has acquired 39.56 percent of global casual game company ME2ON. The deal, worth around 98 billion Korean won, hands Kakao Games controlling rights and makes it ME2ON's single largest shareholder.
As reported by Inven Global, the acquisition is positioned as the opening move in a broader mergers and acquisitions campaign under Kakao Games' current leadership team. ME2ON, which listed on the KOSDAQ in 2016, posted annual revenue of roughly 120.9 billion won in 2025 and recorded an operating profit of approximately 12.6 billion won during the same period. More than 80 percent of its revenue came from outside South Korea.
