The Modern Warfare 4 beta is officially in full flow, but it’s not proving to be a smash hit with gamers everywhere. It has drawn a lot of criticism online for many reasons, such as the bloated attachment system, inconsistent audio, spawn issues, and much more. It’s tricky, but it understandably threatens the game’s imminent launch.
Infinity Ward has since taken to social media to confirm which of these issues are being addressed first, as well as to promise that more content is coming soon.
Modern Warfare 4 Beta Doesn’t Land with Fans
The Modern Warfare 4 beta hasn’t done as well as you might have thought, considering it’s representative of the biggest first-person shooter franchise in history. It hasn’t pulled as much traction on social and streaming platforms, and the nature of COD NEXT meant that it just wasn’t the event Activision was hoping for.
In fact, the negative discourse around this year’s Call of Duty title is more of a talking point than what’s coming next in the current beta.
Despite the negativity, Infinity Ward is working on addressing the biggest concerns in the beta, starting with the weird footstep audio that’s making the ‘Ninja’ perk way too overpowered. If you don’t have it, you’re immediately at a massive disadvantage.
Here’s the full list of what Infinity Ward is working on tied to the Modern Warfare 4 beta:
- Footstep audio tuning
- Map voting turned on
- Weapon balance adjustments
- Bug fixes
The first beta update will land today, and it’s going to bring new content. What that includes, we don’t know, but it’ll be revealed soon enough.
