Marvel Rivals Season 9 is here, and there’s a mystery afoot. With the sudden and mysterious death of Apocalypse catching everyone off guard, it seems like he’s not the only one to meet their end, as Wolverine, Psylocke and Gambit have also been murdered.

Now it’s about finding the killers and figuring out who put an end to Apocalypse; before we can do that, though, we first need to figure out who killed Gambit. This is all part of the new Death of Apocalypse event, with this being the final of three cases, in which you’ll have to search for clues and deduce who the culprit is.

That said, it’s not an easy task, and piecing together the crime can be slightly confusing. With that in mind, here’s how to solve the Death of Gambit during the Death of Apocalypse event in Marvel Rivals.

How To Solve Death Of Gambit Event In Marvel Rivals

When you boot up the new Death of Apocalypse event in Marvel Rivals, you’ll realise that you need to piece together a crime scene by finding clues.

Unlike other events, where you just complete in-game challenges, this one is a little more involved. You’ll see that the gallery card above has a bunch of sparkles on it. Pressing on one will reveal details about the crime scene, with conversations between heroes highlighting some key words.

Eventually, you’ll have acquired all of the key words, and when you flip the page to investigate, you’ll find a body of text with words missing, as well as three people of interest. It’s your job to use the clues you’ve gathered to fill in the blanks, and get to the bottom of the mystery.

Once you’ve placed them all, it’ll tell you if there are any wrong answers, but not specifically which one needs changing. It can be a frustrating process, especially if you’re set on your answers. So, if you’re struggling to complete the challenge, here’s the official solution, but be warned: there are spoilers involved!

Solved Case For Death Of Gambit In Marvel Rivals

Use the image above to place all of the clues in the right locations. Doing so will reveal Gambit’s murderer…

… Who is none other than Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. He was after the Tablet of Death and Entropy as well, and seeing Gambit looking for the tablet, it seems like he decided to take him out of the equation.

That said, it wasn’t a cut-and-dry case, with early suspicions leading to Black Panther, thanks to a spear-like attack with remnant Phoenix Force energy. However, that had nothing to do with Black Panther and instead led to the mystery at large, with Apocalypse also having Phoenix Force on his corpse—though how could that be?

The Hood will be joining the Marvel Rivals roster in Season 9.5, but with the final case solved, we now have everything we need to figure out who killed Apocalypse.
