How to Repair Weapons, Tools, Armor & All Items In Hytale—How To Make Repair Kits, Explained

Hytale repairs can preserve your best weapons, tools, and armor, but it’s not explained how the repair system works. Fortunately, that’s where IG steps in to guide you along the way.

Limp Bizkit famously has a song called Break Stuff. They likely didn’t intend for this to be about a game releasing over 25 years later, but here we are. Constant item use in Hytale will cause your equipment break constantly. If you don’t know how to fix it, you’re going to need to repair your sanity after a while.

The only way to repair your broken armor, weapons, and other tools is by crafting and using a Repair Kit.

It’s quite restrictive, but the only known way (as of writing) is to create Repair Kits. The item is one of many craftable consumables in Hytale, and they naturally require a few resources to make. But if you can make one, you’ll be able to repair anything broken.

Alternatively, you can always create a new version of the tool, weapon, or armor. Depending on what it is, its rarity, and power, it might be cheaper and easier on your resources if you repair it.

You need to first create a Workbench, and then gather the required materials to put together a Repair Kit to use on broken gear.

Check out the steps necessary to do all of this:

  1. Load into a Hytale World.
  2. Gather 4x Any Tree Trunk and 4x Any Stone.
  3. Craft a Workbench.
  4. Place it down in a safe and familiar position.
  5. Open the Workbench.
  6. Click on Tools.
  7. Select Repair Kit.
  8. Gather 2x Linen Scraps, 1x Iron Ingot, and 1x Light Leather.
  9. Now, craft the Repair Kit.
  10. Drag the Repair Kit over the item you want item you want to be repaired, and hey presto, you’re golden.

Repair Kits do require some not-easy-to-come-by parts, so be careful and don’t go throwing Repair Kits away like they’re going out of fashion.
