How to remove Vex shields in Fallow mission – Destiny 2 The Edge of Fate

The Edge of Fate takes us to Kepler, a destination filled with anomalies caused by dark matter. These anomalies are also a source of new abilities, allowing you to explore the planet like no other location in Destiny 2. Fallow is the second mission in The Edge of Fate campaign, and it’s where you further explore the possibilities of Matterspark.

Here’s how to complete the Fallow mission in Destiny 2 The Edge of Fate.

Reach the Agricultural Center

The Fallow mission tasks you with freeing the Aionian Agricultural Center. Take the train to the mission and clear the Vex. In the starting room, there’s a Vex shield. Transform into the Matterspark and use the vent in the room where you exited the train to go around the barrier.

In the next room, you’ll see multiple Vex protecting the node (a cube-looking thing). Clear the enemies and destroy the node to unblock the passage for the Matterspark. Once again, transform into the Matterspark and use the hole to go around the Vex barrier. Once on the other side, shoot the yellow device to remove the shield and access the terminal.

Preserve the Aionian food supply

Once in the open area of the Agricultural Center, your mission is pretty much the same. Kill Vex to unblock the nodes, then shoot the nodes and transmat supplies. There are three caches for you to recover around the area.

Defeat the Devastator Mind

The Vex won’t let you escape that easily. Your final objective is to defeat the Devastator Mind. The fight’s mechanics are the same as what you did in this mission. Do damage until the boss goes immune, then defeat enemies to unblock the node, destroy it, and use Matterspark to go behind the barrier.

Defeat the boss and claim your loot, including a Rosetta II upgrade, allowing you to interact with more objects around Kepler and open chests with Tier 2 and higher loot.
