The visibility certainly isn’t great.

There are many ways you can help your team and rack up different assists in Battlefield 6, from suppressing the enemies to dealing damage. A smoke assist is one of the hardest assists to get, especially if you’re grinding a challenge.

Here’s what smoke assists are and how to get them in Battlefield 6.

Smoke assist happens when a teammate kills an enemy from your smoke. They could be standing on the edge of the smoke, or the smoke could already be fading, but you’ll receive the Smoke Assist medal/accolade in the bottom left as long as they get a kill.

Smokes are only available on the Support class. There’s a regular smoke grenade as a throwable (you get three of them) and the M320A1 SMK smoke grenade launcher as a gadget.

kills not revives:

Covering downed teammates with smoke for others to revive doesn’t count as a smoke assist. Instead, it awards the Concealed Revive accolade.

The best way to get smoke assists is by throwing smokes near contested objectives and at tight chokepoints where your teammates are fighting. As a Support, always use your Supply Bag as often as possible, as standing near it greatly increases grenade regeneration.

This works best in modes like Breakthrough and Rush, where players are fighting over two objectives as opposed to five or more in Conquest and Escalation. In larger modes, you can stick with one of your tanks and throw smokes behind it. This allows the players in the tank to see still, and the kills they get will count as smoke assists.

Your only concern is not to smoke off important sightlines for the allies. While most of the time, smoke on the objective can help either team, if an enemy is defusing an M-COM and there’s no one close to the objective, you probably shouldn’t smoke it off.
