Starting a new journey in Ultimate Team in EA FC 27 leaves you with plenty to do when creating your dream squad, and free packs are extremely important at the start of the game.

The power curve has been slowed for progression in FC 27, reducing the amount of packs available at the start, but there’s still plenty to tick through.

How to Get Free Packs in FC 27 Ultimate Team

Complete Objectives

When starting in Ultimate Team, Objectives should be your bread and butter, as the feature offers a wide variety of rewards for ticking off basic tasks, including free packs.

The number of free packs available through Objectives at the start of FC 27 is significantly lower than previous years, and the packs you do earn may not be as grand as previous entries, but they’re still worth picking up.

The Foundation rewards should be of particular interest, as they’re tied to the Starter League you selected when first creating your team, and are often themed around that.

Get Squad Battles & Rivals Weekly Rewards

Just like previous years, Squad Battles and Rivals both offer weekly rewards based on your performances, alongside invididual rewards for ticking off specific requirements.

While grinding through the ranks to earn better rewards for the weekly distribution, you’ll tick off other Objectives for playing or winning a certain number of matches, alongside any other tasks that might require using specific players, scoring a set type of goals, and more.

Additionally, with changes to the system this year, you’ll also earn Season Points to progress through the Season Pass for each match you play.

Try Live Events

Alongside Squad Battles and Rivals, Live Events are definitely worth diving into, particularly with the addition of vs AI options this year, with exclusive rewards available.

Head-to-head Live Events and their offline counterparts both have a separate slew of rewards, offering individual rewards for specific landmarks, like matches played, which can include small packs.

Alongside that, there’s also group rewards for completing Objectives, rewarding better packs or exclusive players.

Grind Through Moments

Moments returns in FC 27, alongside a store with items purchased exclusively using Stars earned in the mode, which can be easily done.

Early on, the rewards might not be gamechanging, but there are some free packs to obtain once you tick through the tasks, and the early ones are extremely easy.

Don’t waste all your Moments Stars, however, as they will be more valuable packs available later on, so you can skip things like the Consumables Pack.

Level Up The Season Pass

Whether you have the standard Season Pass or the Premium Pass, the levels are packed full of packs to open, including several levels offering more than one pack.

These range from basic packs to player picks, all the way up to the higher levels with more lucrative offerings, some of which require you to choose between set options.

Alongside this, there’s an array of consumables, cosmetics, and even some exclusive players to obtain, so it’s always worth keeping an eye out for ways to earn more SP.

Complete SBCs

Squad Building Challenges have received a tweak in EA FC 27, but they remain a great way of obtaining free packs by submitting unwanted players.

Alongside the standard requirements, using the likes of Chemistry, ratings and more, there are also options to quickly offload large amounts of unwanted players in a basic approach, with each card given a score.

There’s an array of easily completable SBCs to start off with, but the more advanced ones might be worth revisiting when your club is more established.

Look Out For Twitch Drops

EA Sports regularly provides rewards through a Twitch Drop programme, so it’s always worthwhile keeping an eye on social media to see if any offerings are available.

The first live gameplay stream provided the first batch of Twitch Drop rewards, and it’s likely that more will be added soon, especially when the FC Pro tournaments kick off properly.

Again, these won’t be a massive game changer for your squad, unless you get lucky with pulls, but it’s another easy way to obtain free rewards.
