Coins are a crucial aspect of progression in EA FC 27 Ultimate Team, particularly when just getting started, and the grind to improve your balance never truly ends.

With FC 27‘s live content drops, there’s always a fresh batch of goodies to get your hands on, and while you can try your luck with packs, it can be a cruel mistress, so a healthy coin balance is advised for dipping into the market.

How to Get Coins in FC 27 Ultimate Team

Discard Unwanted Items

There’s no denying that packs in FC 27, like they have been for many years in Ultimate Team, are full of fodder, and we’re not just talking about the low-rated players.

A wide array of consumables will be provided, some of which you are never likely to use, alongside an abundance of cosmetic items including kits, badges, tifos, stadiums, and more.

Rather than congest your club with fodder, the best approach is to discard these immediately to get some coins back. Granted, it’s not going to single-handedly buy you an Icon, but every little helps.

Check Transfer Market Prices

This goes hand-in-hand with the above tip, though it also applies to players too, but always make sure you’re checking the market value of items before you discard, as that will earn you more than the discard price.

Some kits and badges are popular, so command a premium, while there’s also an array of Chemistry Styles, Manager Leagues, and similar that have some value.

FC 27 has a handy tip that displays the average price of a player prior to listing, without requiring you to scan the market directly, so put this to use.

Complete Objectives

There’s a wide array of Objectives to complete in FC 27 Ultimate Team, which will be regularly updated with new content, which includes a slew of coins.

Alongside rewards that provide a specified amount, there’s also a large number of Coin Boosts available that boost your match earnings for a set number of games.

Many of these are easy to tick off or are unlocked through general progression, so it’s an easy win to capitalize on.

Bronze Pack Method

A widely-used approach in the community, the Bronze Pack method may not be as strong as it once was, but it still has it’s uses. In fact, there’s an argument they’re more useful this year.

Bronze Packs are extremely cheap, yet some of the pulls can be expensive, particularly if they’re from a popular league or nation, or boast extremely high pace. Sometimes, they might be in demand for SBC completion.

Any players you don’t sell immediately you can hold onto to turn into SBC fodder for upgrade packs, so it’s a win-win.

Squad Battles & Rivals

Squad Battles and Rivals are certainly worth keeping tabs on, as both have weekly rewards that offer packs or coins, alongside progression milestones with separate rewards.

When tied to Coin Boosts you’ve earned, these go hand-in-hand nicely, and if you’re playing Rivals, there’s also challenges to complete along the way through bounties, which could provide coins as a reward.

Both modes should certainly command some of your focus each week, purely to make sure you’re getting something when the reward distribution rolls about.

Live Events

Similar to the above, Live Events have a large number of tasks to complete and rewards to be obtained, including for your performances and for completing specific tasks.

Newly added for FC 27 are offline Live Events, putting you up against an AI opponent rather than another player, and there’s some exclusive goodies to be earned, too.

Season Pass Progression

Whichever version of the Season Pass you have, the Standard or Premium, the levels often provide coins as a reward, either with a set number or through Coin Boosts.

Later down the line, more lucrative rewards are available, which may require you to choose from several options, and you’ll also earn some exclusive players for your efforts.
