If you’ve got a quirky or adorable username in mind for the upcoming sandbox adventure Hytale, you can now create a Hytale account and reserve your preferred username.
Hytale is finally accepting account reservations before it goes into its pre-purchase phase on Dec. 13. The Dec. 9 announcement has seen millions of dedicated fans jump right into the opportunity. Let’s face it: getting your desirable in-game nickname is always a top priority!

How to make your Hytale account
To create a Hytale account, you need to open the official website and then follow these steps:
- Click on Join Now.
- Then select an option to sign in: Google, Discord, Epic Games, Microsoft, and Twitch. You can also use your email to sign in manually.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to link your accounts and confirm your email address.
- After this, you’ll receive a nudge to verify your Hytale account. Open your email and click on the designated button to verify.
- Once done, you’ll see the Accounts page of Hytale, meaning your account has been created.
Hytale has announced the account confirmation email may be delayed due to a lot of sign ups at the same time. Don’t try out the “request email button” if you don’t receive it. Verifications last 24 hours, so wait for the email.
How to reserve your Hytale username
You can only reserve your Hytale username now if you had signed up for the Hytale beta or Hytale/Hypixel newsletters before Dec. 9. If not, you’ll have to wait until Dec. 13 (pre-purchase window start date) to claim your name.
If you had signed up before Dec. 9, you’ll receive a “token” in your email from Riot or Hypixel, whichever platform you used to register your interest. If you already have your username token, follow the steps below to reserve it:
- From the Hytale accounts page, click on the Usernames tab on the left.
- Then, click on Reserve Username.
- Enter the username you want in the designated box. Then, enter the token.
- Finally, hit Reserve Username.
Hytale nicknames aren’t case-sensitive at the moment, so all usernames will appear in lowercase. You can change your username’s case after you purchase a game license.
