How Long Is The Blood of Dawnwalker? Game Length & Total Hours

September 2026’s silly season of gaming kicks off with The Blood of Dawnwalker, and the new IP from Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco is offering more than its fair share of content to make you forget about everything else.

The end of 2026 could be a bloodletting in more ways than one. People’s disposable income is certainly going to take a hit with the amount of games coming out, and The Blood of Dawnwalker is going for the throat in terms of your spare time.

How Many Hours To Beat The Blood of Dawnwalker?

It was confirmed way back in April 2026 that a typical playthrough of The Blood of Dawnwalker could take anywhere between 40 and 70 hours!

An RPG directed by The Witcher 3 director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz…what did you expect!

This news was actually confirmed months ago in an interview between GameReactor and Tomaszkiewicz, where the topic of the game’s length came up

Here’s what he said:

“It’s funny, because when we started working, we planned it for 40 hours. Right now, the average is around 50 hours, but that depends on what difficulty level you’re playing, how picky you are, how much you explore, how much you upgrade your gear, and so on.”

He also added: “Some people from our team have finished the game… And there are big differences between them. It’s about 50 hours to about 70 hours.”

More work has taken place since then, and the average length could have increased further.

Unless you’ve been keeping tabs on The Blood of Dawnwalker, you may not be familiar with the in-game timer, which requires Coen (the main character) to essentially complete the main story in 30 days and nights.

Certain actions and events determine how much time moves on, with passive gameplay not adding any time relative to the overall adventure. While it still gives you some freedom to explore and not be constrained by the overhanging narrative implications, there is still a sense of urgency.

So, you might not see and do everything in your first playthrough, at the risk of failing Coen.

How Long Is A The Blood of Dawnwalker Completionist Run?

While Tomaszkiewicz, nor anyone at Rebel Wolves, has been able to accurately elaborate, based on what we’ve heard, you are likely looking at 70-100+ hours to see and do everything in The Blood of Dawnwalker.

Back to the interview above, and Konrad’s brother—creative director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz—explained:

“Roughly speaking, if you play the game normally, you’ll probably get about 80% of the content done before the time runs out. So there is enough time to enjoy certain things. But again, we balanced it in such a way that we wanted you to feel the weight of your decisions.”

So, upwards of 100 hours isn’t beyond the realm of possibility here.

Between story missions, side quests, unlocking all Perks, visiting villages, destroying transports, and other things mentioned and not mentioned in the Blood of Dawnwalker Steam Achievements, you need to be in it for the long haul to become the ultimate vampire!
