How Long Is Halo: Campaign Evolved? Game Length & Total Hours, Explained

Halo: Campaign Evolved is a new remake of Halo: Combat Evolved, the first-ever Halo game. As a major AAA game with a lot of expectation and a big budget, you might want to know how much bang you’re getting for your buck, and as an FPS, you’re guaranteed a bang!

Halo Infinite tried its best to bring back peak Halo gameplay. It got off to a decent start, but faltered. So Halo Studios decided: ‘If we can’t create fresh glory years, we’ll bring the old ones back with a full remake of Halo: Combat Evolved.

For anyone excited for Halo: Campaign Evolved, or weighing up the purchase, this guide has important game length information.

This is a remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved experience, adding three new missions and reworking the odd bits here and there. Depending on your previous experience with Halo 1, FPS games in general, and which difficulty you play on, expect anywhere from 8-12 hours for a first-time run.

HowLongToBeat has Halo: Combat Evolved’s original campaign in at around 10 to 10 and a half hours of gameplay for a normal playthrough.

Obviously, there are varying factors that determine how long you’ll spend playing. However, the inclusion of three new prequel missions should add anywhere from 15 to 30 mins each, so it’s not unreasonable to suggest, along with other changes, another hour and a half to two hours of gameplay is present.

How Long Is A Halo: Campaign Evolved Completionist Run?

Seeing and doing everything in Halo: Campaign Evolved, including completing the campaign, finding Skulls, and gathering trophies and achievements, should take you between 15 and 20 hours.

Like most games, you’ll get out of Halo: Campaign Evolved what you put into it.

If the Halo: Campaign Evolved trophy list is on the agenda, this will add time to your overall playtime, completing extra objectives and tasks you wouldn’t think of otherwise—having to ‘Complete the Campaign on Legendary Difficulty’ will test your time and patience!

Plus, it goes without saying that trying to get all of the Skulls (and there are new ones) isn’t a walk in the park. There’s no online multiplayer, so this can’t be factored into the hours, sadly.

But I think it’s a big package if you choose to do everything, and it should be worth the physical (and emotional) investment.
