How Long Is Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced? Game Length & Total Hours, Explained

It’s safe to say that recent AC games have gone slightly overboard on the gameplay on offer. Speaking of going overboard, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is the perfect pirate game, and I’m filling you in on its game length.

Ubisoft has had the urge to go bigger and better with the majority of new Assassin’s Creed games in recent years, save for Mirage. We’re talking upwards of 100 hours of gameplay, easily. This is before any DLC or story expansion as well.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced looks to offer a slightly more grounded experience, but some differences could affect the length.

How Many Hours To Beat Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced

Based on previews of the game and words from the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced team, it seems like you can expect around 25 to 30 hours to beat the game’s main story.

Firstly, HowLongToBeat estimates that the original Assassin’s Creed Black Flag takes about 23 hours to complete the campaign. However, Black Flag Resynced’s content adds six hours of new gameplay.

Game director Richard Knight told Wccftech:

‘Resynced adds around 6 hours of content via new quests, officer quests, and similar activities. We have also added a profound layer of detail to the world, so we hope players spend far more than just those 6 hours.’

Some of this will be side jobs and fun activities, not necessarily story-driven content.

However, using historical data and newfound knowledge, around 25 hours seems right, maybe a bit more.

How Long Is A Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Completionist Run?

If you want to see and do everything in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, you’re looking at closer to 60 to 70 hours.

Again, HowLongToBeat (based on thousands of user playthroughs) says 2013’s Black Flag has ’62 hours’ of gameplay to get through.

But if we factor in the new six hours or so of new content and gameplay, plus some new changes and additions, whipped up especially for Resynced, that total quickly increases.

To summarise: 25 to 30 hours for the main story, closer to 70 hours to tick off everything in the action-adventure remake!
