Hajin Arrives In Warzone & Modern Warfare 4 Season 1

Hajin has officially been announced as the next Battle Royale map coming to Call of Duty: Warzone, with the new location set to arrive alongside Season 1 of Modern Warfare 4.

The name may already sound familiar to players following the upcoming game, as Hajin will also serve as the setting for DMZ, the highly anticipated extraction-based mode making its return. While both modes will share the same location, the way players interact with the map is expected to vary in Warzone.

Hajin Arrives As New Map In Warzone

Hajin is described as a sprawling and densely packed exclusion zone situated across the Korean Peninsula. In DMZ, players will infiltrate the area, search for valuable loot and attempt to extract safely, whereas Warzone will transform the same environment into a traditional Battle Royale battlefield where players fight to be the last squad standing.

It’s currently unclear exactly how much the map will differ between the two modes, although the information revealed for DMZ provides a good indication of what Warzone players can expect.

The region has been heavily scarred by radiation, with environmental effects playing a major role in shaping the battlefield. Whether these effects will carry over into Warzone remains to be seen, but they could provide an interesting twist on the traditional Battle Royale formula if they do.

Hajin is already being described as one of the “most ambitious Call of Duty environments ever built,” with a wide range of locations for players to explore. Points of interest include an irradiated Fallout reactor, a heavily fortified prison complex, the remains of Hajin City and a nearby Military Base.

With Hajin being designed to accommodate both Warzone and DMZ, it’ll be interesting to see how the map is adapted for each experience. Either way, its sheer scale and variety of environments suggest Warzone players could have a substantial new battlefield to explore when Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 arrives.
