GTA 6 ‘Cover Girl’ Has Responded to Claim She’s The Model

A Colombian DJ has responded to claims that she’s the model of the cover girl on the recently revealed Grand Theft Auto 6 cover, after a widespread social media campaign to track her down.

Rockstar provided a long-awaited update on GTA 6 last week, announcing that pre-orders for the title would be available this week and revealing the cover art for the game.

The cover features a host of Florida-inspired environments, including alligators, but a mysterious cover girl caught the eye, with many working their hardest to track down who she could be in real life.

It didn’t take long for a flurry of social media accounts to speculate that the GTA 6 cover girl was modelled on Colombian DJ and producer Gabriela Chiquin, who has since addressed the speculation on Instagram.

In an image many are comparing to the cover girl on GTA 6, Chiquin posted a caption reading “they say I look like the brunette in GTA IV’.

She didn’t confirm whether the likeness was truly hers, and it may be a giant coincidence, which does seem likely considering the drama that Rockstar found themselves in with GTA 5.

Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan tried to sue Rockstar over the alleged use of her likeness in the cover art for GTA 5, which featured a blonde girl in a bikini on the cover.

While Rockstar was ultimately successful in the court battle, it’s likely they’ll want to avoid any such controversy in GTA 6, and won’t have modelled the character on someone like Chiquin without a deal in place.

It remains to be seen whether Chiquin is the model in question, or whether whoever Rockstar used is just coincidentally a lookalike of the DJ.
