God of War Laufey Could Release as Early as February 2027

Jason Schreier has said in a new YouTube video that God of War: Laufey could release as early as February 2027.

YouTube star Jason Schreier (sorry Jason, I know you’ll hate me saying that) has once again taken to YouTube in another video to talk about the impact of GTA 6, and what its release is having on the industry. One of the games he mentioned was God of War Laufey, which, according to Schreier, could release as early as February 2027.

God of War Laufey Release Date

According to Schreier, he said that he “wouldn’t be surprised if that [God of War Laufey] gets announced for February or March pretty soon”.

So, two things there, it seems like PlayStation and Santa Monica are aiming for their next God of War blockbuster to hit early next year, but also that the announcement could be made “soon”.

As of the time of writing, PlayStation has yet to announce a new State of Play, but Gamescom Opening Night Live is only around 60 days away, and it’s not unheard of for PlayStation to give Keighley a big announcement or two. In December 2024, PlayStation and Naughty Dog let Keighley reveal Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet at The Game Awards.

Whatever happens with the announcement, though, it does seem like if God of War Laufey is announced for a February 2027 release, that’s going to mean an even more stacked month.
