G2 Esports has announced that its original web comic series ‘Red Aura’ is about to receive its English-language release.

The fantasy-action series will release on popular digital comic platform WEBTOON on Saturday, June 6, under the WEBTOON Originals label.

G2 revealed the new IP in October last year as part of the organisation’s 10th anniversary.

The comic originally debuted in Japan through WEBTOON’s LINE MANGA platform in October 2025, where it reached #9 in New Series on its opening weekend.

Red Aura will now launch on the English-language WEBTOON site with 20 episodes available immediately, including 15 free episodes and 5 Fast Pass chapters.

More episodes will be released weekly, with a planned 42-episode first season.

To celebrate the launch, G2 creator and VALORANT streamer Ryan ‘Shanks’ Ngo will host a live reading of Red Aura.

What is G2’s Red Aura?

Red Aura is inspired by the “defining moments and competitive spirit” of G2 and reimagines the organisation’s history through shonen-inspired storytelling.

The plot sees the story set in a world of magical ‘Nomads,’ characters with incredible powers, with main character, Asa, a young girl who dreams of becoming the greatest Nomad who ever lived.

In a fantasy-action world shaped by rivalry, perseverance, and competition, Asa has to learn to master her abilities while facing dangerous enemies and the brutal consequences of ambition.

Red Aura was created in collaboration with KISAI Entertainment, the studio behind the webcomic adaptations of AVATAR: The Last Airbender, alongside Japanese Art Director Runbel, who works on the previously #1 action fantasy series in Japan and Korea – Skill Master Levels Up.

The press release from G2 claims the organisation hope to continue investing in anime-inspired entertainment and original storytelling designed for digital-first audiences, having also previously partnered with Solo Levelling for a merchandise release.
