Forza Horizon 6 PS5 Release Window Confirmed

Forza Horizon 6 developers have confirmed that the PS5 release won’t be too long, as it is set to arrive this year.

When the game was announced back in 2025, it was revealed that the game would only be available on XBOX consoles and PCs at launch, but the developers had confirmed that a PS5 release was on the way. Players were confused about whether they would get the release in the same year or have to wait until 2027; however, the good news is that it comes out in 2026.

Forza Horizon 6 PS5 Release Arrives in 2026

The developers of Forza Horizon 6 have just provided players with a lengthy new blog post on celebrating British Automotive in the game, with the arrival of the new Drift Attack feature starting today. Buried deep at the end of this post, the developers stated, “If you’re planning your trip to Discover Japan on PlayStation 5, stay tuned! Forza Horizon 6 will be releasing on PS5 later this year.” The PlayStation Store page for the title is already up, and players can now wishlist the game.

Players don’t know when the release date will be announced, but it could be announced at the Tokyo Game Show 2026 later this month, given that the game was part of the event last year. However, this information hasn’t been officially confirmed; it’s just speculation.

Regarding the update, players will receive a brand-new feature called the Drift Attack with the British Automotive update for Forza Horizon 6, and it will become permanent and will also let players unlock the 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition. There’s also a takeover of the Horizon Stadium that will add “3 new-to-Horizon cars” to the game, which can be acquired through the Festival Playlist. These include “2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed, 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior and 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR.”
